Introduction
This privacy policy explains what personal data Go Practice Music GmbH ("Go Practice Music", "we", "our" or "us") processes when you use the Go Practice Music mobile application (the "App") and this website, for what purposes, and what your rights are.
It is separate from our Terms and Conditions.

Account data
When you create an account or sign in, we process the information needed for authentication (for example, depending on the sign-in method you choose) and the information you add to your profile, such as a display name and, where applicable, a profile image. This data is used to create your account, identify you and give you access to the App.
Practice and progress data
The App records data generated by your use in order to track and display your progress, for example: the pieces and sessions you work on, practice duration, exercise results, goals, streaks, points and leaderboards. If you use the referral program, we process the referral codes you share or use.
Recordings and images you create or upload
The App lets you create or upload content, such as audio recordings and images. When you do, this content is uploaded to Firebase Storage (an infrastructure service provided by Google) so that it is saved in your account. You decide whether or not to create this content.
Practice Coach
The Practice Coach offers you practice advice within the App. It may appear automatically. A setting in the App lets you turn off its automatic display.
Practice advice: the practice advice is calculated locally on your phone, and the resulting advice is then sent to Firebase to be saved in your account, so that you can find it in your history. Your history keeps at most the 100 most recent pieces of advice; beyond that, the oldest are replaced. Saved advice is deleted when you delete your account. For this advice flow, no microphone sound is transmitted.
Questions you ask the Coach: the Coach also lets you ask a personal question. In that case, the text of your question and the corresponding answer are saved in Firebase. This is a separate process from the locally calculated practice advice.
Technical data, measurement and stability
To ensure the App works properly, securely and improves over time, we use Google Firebase services:
- Firebase Analytics — measurement of App usage (for example, features used, usage data and associated technical identifiers).
- Firebase Crashlytics — crash and stability reports, in order to diagnose and fix problems.
These services are separate from the advertising described below.
Advertising
The free version of the App displays advertising via Google AdMob. The content and targeting of the ads are controlled by Google and third-party advertisers, in accordance with Google's policies. Ad-free access can be obtained via subscription or referral, subject to the applicable conditions.
Subscriptions and purchases
If you take out a subscription or make a purchase, payment is processed by the relevant app store (Apple App Store or Google Play). We do not receive your payment card details; we may receive information about the status of your subscription needed to give you access to the corresponding features.
Processors and recipients
We use technical service providers that process certain data on our behalf, in particular Google (Firebase — authentication, database, Storage, Analytics, Crashlytics — and AdMob). The app stores (Apple, Google) process payments. These providers may process data outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area; in such cases, the transfer is subject to the protections provided for in their respective terms.
Retention
We keep data linked to your account for as long as your account exists. Practice Coach advice is limited to the 100 most recent items. When you delete your account, the associated data is intended to be deleted. Certain technical data may be kept in a limited way for security, diagnostics or to comply with legal obligations.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please also protect your device and your credentials.
Children
The App is not intended for children below the age required by applicable law without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with data without such consent, contact us so that we can delete it.
This website
This website presents the App and links to the app stores. It has no contact form and no third-party audience-measurement tool, and it does not set tracking cookies. Links to external platforms (for example app stores or social networks) are governed by the privacy policies of those platforms.
Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the App, the website or the legal framework. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
